Five songs to remember summer.

Here in Milan it’s been raining for two days. It seems winter time. And I think about when I was on a summer beach and everything was easier. It seems like a life ago. A lot of things have changed since those days and I think I’ve never been so concrete in my life more than now. I’m home recording my songs and I like it but it’s not easy.

In the meanwhile I’m making a playlist to fight against this rain and hoping better season will come as soon as possible. I need it! So here a list of five songs with the lyrics I like.

I wish I found some better sounds no one’s ever heard,
I wish I had a better voice that sang some better words,
I wish I found some chords in an order that is new,
I wish I didn’t have to rhyme every time I sang

When you’re on a holiday
You can’t find the words to say
All the things that come to you
And I wanna feel it too

On an island in the sun
We’ll be playing and having fun
And it makes me feel so fine
I can’t control my brain

Monkeys and sun

Waste time with a masterpiece, don’t waste time with a masterpiece (huh!)
You should be rolling with me, you should be rolling with me (ah)
You’re a real life fantasy, you’re a real life fantasy (huh!)
But you’re moving so carefully; let’s start living dangerously

I don’t know if you were looking at me or not
You probably smile like that all the time
And I don’t mean to bother you but
I couldn’t just walk by
And not say hi
And I know your name
Cause everybody in here knows your name
And you’re not looking for anything right now
So I don’t wanna come on strong
Don’t get me wrong

Oh, angel sent from up above
You know you make my world light up
When I was down, when I was hurt
You came to lift me up
Life is a drink, and love’s a drug
Oh, now I think I must be miles up
When I was a river, dried up
You came to rain a flood
